What are the benefits of this course?

Take the Basic or Refresher course if you want to qualify for an insurance discount.

What are the eligilibity requirements for the Mature Driver Refresher course?

Take the Refresher course if you have completed a California Mature Driver (Basic) course within the last three years.

How does California Mature Driver Improvement work?

Our course consists of 10 lessons, short quizzes, and a final exam. The lessons are made up of reading material, videos, animations, and interactive exercises. The final exam consists of multiple-choice questions.

Upon passing the exam, we will mail you a Certificate of Completion. Present your Certificate of Completion to your insurance carrier to obtain an insurance discount.

How long does it take?

The Basic Course is a six-hour course and will take you a minimum of six hours to complete. The Refresher Course is a four-hour course and will take you a minimum of four hours to complete.

Must I finish the course in one sitting?

No. The course is self-paced and you can take it at your leisure. We provide an unlimited number of logins. Just use your username and password to login, and you can continue where you last left off.

Can I take the exam online?

Yes, you can take the exam online. Our online exam consists of multiple-choice questions and requires about 10-15 minutes to complete.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

Most people pass the exam the first time. However, you can take the exam as often as necessary without any additional charge.

How soon will I get my Certificate?

We will send your certificate via USPS mail once you pass the final exam, if you finish by 3PM PST Monday-Friday. Otherwise, it will mailed on the next business day. Most students receive their certificates within 3-7 business days. If you need it faster, we offer FedEx Priority and FedEx 2-Day.

You can also add on an emailed copy of your certificate to your order at checkout. Your emailed certificate will be sent to you the same day you complete the course if you complete the course by 3 PM PST, Monday through Friday. Otherwise, it will be emailed to you the following business day. Most insurance companies will accept an emailed copy of your certificate, but please check with them to be sure.
