Defensive Driving
Did you get a ticket in Texas? Don't worry, we're here for you. Completing our TDLR-approved Defensive Driving course will help you dismiss your traffic ticket and prevent points from being added to your driver record.
You could even qualify for a car insurance discount!
Are you eligible for this course? Generally, you are eligible to complete Texas Defensive Driving if:
- You have a valid driver license (that is not a Commercial Driver License).
- You were ticketed for a moving violation (e.g., speeding, running a red light).
- You have not taken Texas traffic school for a ticket you got in the last 12 months.
Teen Parent Taught Driver Education
Ready to get your Texas driver license? Our 32-hour, TDLR-approved Parent Taught Driver Education course will fulfill your driver
education requirements and prepare you to get on the road! As its name implies, your parent will serve as your instructor for your
Texas driver's ed course and the 14 hours of required behind-the-wheel instruction. You'll qualify for your learner license after just
6 hours, and you can even take your Knowledge Test online with us!
Please Note: You MUST have your Parent Taught Driver Education Program Guide before starting the course. As per TDLR rules, if you begin the course without the PTDE Program Guide, none of that instruction time will count toward your requirement, and you will have to start the course over.

Teen (AMI) Driver Education
Teen (AMI) Driver Education offers an alternative way for teens to complete their driver education course. This TDLR-approved option

instruction requirements with a commercial driving school or with a parent through an approved Parent-Taught Behind-the-Wheel course. However, Texas Teen Driver Edcation is similar to Parent Taught in that
students qualify for a learner license after 6 hours of instruction, and the Knowledge Test can be completed online!
