5. Parent Taught Behind-the-Wheel ONLY

1. Fulfill the behind-the-wheel training component of driver education.
2. Get step-by-step instructions for the entire process.

6. Adult Driver Education

1. Qualify for your driver license in six hours if you are age 18 or older.
2. Get exempt from taking the written exam at the Driver License Office.

7. Insurance Discount

1. You may obtain a discount on your auto insurance premium by completing a driver improvement course. The amount of the discount, if any, varies by insurance company. Check with your insurance agent to see the discount available to you.
2. This course is intended for all licensed drivers up to age 55. Mature drivers (age 55 or older) must complete a mature driver course.

How It Works

Get everything done in three easy steps!

1. Register

Registration is fast and easy -- only two minutes! Create a username and password. Use your username and password to access the course as often as you want. We provide an unlimited number of logins.

2. Complete the Course

Our courses consist of lecture material and interactive media. Each time you log in, we automatically take you to where you last left off.

For every course except the Behind-the-Wheel course, you will take a short quiz at the end of each lesson. You must pass each quiz in order to move on to the next lesson.

For all courses EXCEPT Parent Taught Driver Education, Parent Taught Behind-the-Wheel ONLY, and Defensive Driving: You must pass an exam at the end. Take the exam online immediately after you finish the course. You receive your grade immediately.

3. Get your Certificate

For Defensive Driving and Seat Belt Course: We will email you your Certificate of Completion for FREE as soon as you complete the course. You must sign the court copy and send it to your court. We provide you with an additional copy of your certificate that you can keep for your records.

For Parent-Taught Driver Education and Teen Driver Education: We will email you your 6-Hour Certificate of Completion immediately when you complete the first six hours of coursework and we will email you your course Certificate of Completion immediately when you complete the course. Emailed certificates are provided as part of the course for FREE.

For Parent Taught Behind-the-Wheel ONLY: After you complete the Behind-the-Wheel ONLY course, you may request your certificate online, and your certificate will be emailed for FREE to you and your parent. Per Texas rules, the Behind-the-Wheel ONLY course takes a minimum of 7 days to complete, so you will not be able to request your certificate until this 7-day requirement is met.

For Adult Driver Education: We will email you your Certificate of Completion for FREE as soon as you complete the course.

For Insurance Discount: We will email you your Certificate of Completion for FREE when you complete the course. You must sign the certificate and send it to your insurance company to get the insurance discount.

For Mature Driver Improvement: You can print your certificate online immediately after passing the final exam. You must sign the certificate and send it to your insurance company to get the insurance discount.
