Nevada DMV-Licensed
Our Nevada Traffic School course is licensed by the Nevada DMV.
Nevada drivers can voluntarily take our Nevada Traffic School to get
3 points removed from their driving record if they have accumulated
between 3 and 11 points.
Please Note: Students can only take one voluntary traffic safety course for point reduction within a 12-month period.
The DMV Driver Improvement Program
The Nevada DMV operates a point system as part of its driver improvement program.
Points are added to your record each time you are convicted of a moving violation.
The number of points depends on the severity of the violation.
You will receive a mailed notification from the DMV's Driver License Review Section when you
reach 3 or more points.
Your license will be automatically suspended for six months when you receive 12 or more points in any 12-month period. You will be mailed a certified letter
from the DMV before your license is suspended.
The demerit points for a violation are deleted when 12 months have elapsed from the date of conviction.
Convictions remain part of your permanent driving record.
What Is Point Reduction?
Nevada drivers can voluntarily take our Nevada Traffic School Course to get 3 points removed from their driving record if they have accumulated
between 3 and 11 points.
We send proof of course completion to the Nevada DMV within 1 business day of you completing the course.
Am I eligible for Point Reduction?
If you have accumulated between 3 and 11 points on your driver record, you can voluntarily take a
Nevada traffic school course if you meet the
following eligibility requirements:
- Completion of traffic school is not part of a plea bargain with a court for a traffic violation.
- The traffic school you choose is approved by the DMV (our course is approved).
- More than twelve months have elapsed since you last attended traffic school.
How Does the Course Work?
There are just a few simple steps to complete a Nevada Traffic School course.
1. Register for the Course
Create a username and password. This allows you to securely login and logout at anytime. Registration is fast and easy -- only two minutes!
2. Complete the Coursework
This 5-hour course is broken up into 5 lessons. At the end of every lesson is a 10-question multiple-choice quiz. You must score at least 70% on each quiz (7 out of 10 questions correct) to pass and proceed to the next lesson. Most people pass the lesson quiz on the first attempt, but you can retake a quiz as many times as necessary to pass.
Our course meets Nevada's required length of 5 hours of instruction. You may complete this course at your own pace—a little at a time, or all at once. We provide unlimited logins so you can come and go as often as you want, and you will pick up right where you left off each time you return.
3. Pass the Final Exam
At the end of the course, you must pass a final exam to earn your Certificate of Completion. This exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, and you must score at least 70% to pass. Most people pass the exam the first time. However, you can take it as often as you wish. There is no charge for retakes.
Please Note: The state of Nevada requires students to wait at least 4 hours before retaking the final exam. You can use this time to review the course material and prepare for your next attempt.
We Notify the DMV
We will notify the Nevada DMV of your course completion for you within 1 business day of completing the course.
