Defensive Driving (Point Reduction)
We will email your Certificate of Completion to you after you pass the final exam. You can also print a copy of your certificate from your account.
Your Certificate of Completion is for your records and serves as proof that you have successfully completed and passed a defensive driving course.
Safe2Drive will notify the New Jersey MVC within 1 business day of your completion. It may take 2-3 weeks for the MVC to update your driving record.
Please keep in mind that the points must already be on your record before you complete the course in order for the MVC to remove them.
You will need to sign your Certificate of Completion and present it to your insurer to get the insurance discount.
Discounts, if any, vary from insurer to insurer. Please check with your insurance company to make sure they offer discounts to drivers who complete an Insurance Discount course.
If you do not have access to a printer and need a hard copy of your Certificate of Completion, please call us and we would be more than happy to send you a copy.
