The 7-hour Pennsylvania Basic Mature Driver Improvement course was designed for drivers age 55 and older who have never taken a PA Mature Driver course before and would like to get a discount on their car insurance. If you are a Pennsylvania driver who has already taken a Basic Mature Driver Improvement course, and it has been 3 years since you completed the course, you should register for the Refresher Mature Driver Improvement course.
Our course is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (DOT), so you can rest assured that you are getting all of the most up-to-date information on Pennsylvania driving laws and defensive driving techniques.
When you successfully complete a Basic Mature Driver course, you qualify to receive a 5% or higher discount on your auto insurance premium! All you have to do is present your Certificate of Completion to your insurance company to have the discount applied. The discount lasts for 3 years, and once those 3 years are up, you can maintain your lower premium by completing a Refresher course.
