What Is TX Online Adult Driver Education?

The Adult Driver Education (ADE) option provides those individuals 18 or older the opportunity to take a shorter, yet still comprehensive, Texas driver education course to earn their Texas driver license completely online! Adult students need only complete driver education, they are not required to have any behind-the-wheel training.

TDLR-Approved Course

Safe2Drive's Texas Adult Driver's Ed course is approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). This means our course meets all state requirements, providing you with an enriching driver education experience that will put you one step closer to getting your Texas driver license.

Eligibility Requirements for Student

You must be at least 18 years old prior to starting the online Texas Adult Driver's Ed course.

Steps for Students

There are a few steps you need to follow to get your driver license:

  1. Register for your TX Adult Driver Education course online.
  2. Complete the course.
  3. After successful completion of the course, we will email you a Certificate of Completion, which you will need when you apply for your Texas driver license.
  4. Take the Impact Texas Adult Drivers course and get your ITAD certificate. Remember this certificate is only valid for 90 days.
  5. Apply for a Texas driver license at your local Driver License Office.
  6. Pass both a vision exam and a driving test at the DPS Driver License Office and receive your driver license!
