What You Need to Know

Defensive Driving

Safe2Drive will email you two certificates immediately after you complete this course. One is for the court, and the other is for your insurance company. Please sign both certificates. You will need to send the court copy to your court, and the insurance copy to your insurance company.

Parent Taught Driver Education

You will receive two certificates. You may print your certificates online. We also email your certificates to both you and your parent.

These certificates are:

Six-Hour Completion Certificate: You may print this certificate upon completing the first six hours of online instruction if you opt to take the Knowledge Test at the DPS. If you choose to take the Knowledge Test online with us, you will receive your Six-Hour Completion Certificate after you pass the Knowledge Test. Take this with you when you go to the Driver License office to obtain your learner license. Completion of the first six hours is required when applying for your learner license.

Course Completion Certificate: You may print this certificate upon finishing the course. This is supporting evidence that you have completed all 32 hours of instruction and 44 hours of driver training. Completion of the entire course is required when applying for your driver license. Sign the certificate and submit it along with other required paperwork to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) when applying for your driver license.

We can also mail you a hard copy of your certificates. Contact us and we'll be happy to help!

Parent Taught Behind-the-Wheel Only

After you have completed the Parent Taught Behind-the-Wheel ONLY course, you may request your Certificate of Completion online. The Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you and your parent.

Please Note: As per state rules, you may only count 4 hours per day of behind-the-wheel training, with no more than 2 hours per day on behind-the-wheel instruction. Therefore, the earliest you may request a certificate is 4 days after registering.
